Abstract

Objective To design an ECG signal acquisition module based on serial port, which can be used for monitoring e-quipment design or clinical research. Methods The high-performance amplifiers of AD cooperation were used to design a high common mode rejection ratio of pre-amp. The signal was denoised by the combined technology of hardware and software and converted into standard RS232 format for data acquisition. Results The hardware circuit design was finished. The microcontroller with serial port and timer interrupt and digital-analog converter control programming could provide ECG data services through the serial port. Furthermore it could be controlled to switch its leads and adjust its filtering choices through the serial port. Conclusion This module can meet the needs of the scientific use in some manufacturers, research institutes, medical engineering departments and other agencies.
