微波加热改性活性炭及其对SO2吸附性能的影响
Modification of Activated Carbon by Microwave Heating and Its Effects on SO2 Adsorption
摘要
Abstract
Modification of activated carbon was carried out in a microwave device operating at different input power under N2 atmosphere. The effects of microwave heating on the pore texture and surface chemistry of activated carbon were analyzed by means of low temperature N2 adsorption, elemental analysis and Boehm titration, and its effect on SO2 adsorption of flue gas over activated carbon was analyzed. The results show that microwave heating treatment results in a gradual reduction in specific surface area and pore volume. Microwave heating treatment decreases the amount of surface acidic functional groups and increases the amount of surface basic functional groups. Microwave heating treatment enhances SO2 adsorption on activated carbon, caused by the modification of the surface chemistry. During microwave heating treatment, active sites are induced by decomposition of CO-yielding surface oxygen functional groups, which promotes the adsorption and oxidation of SO2 on activated carbon.关键词
