Research of Damping System Characteristics for HVDC Converter Valves
摘要
Abstract
The damping system of a direct current converter valve consists of saturable reactor magnetic core resistors and thyristor level damping resistors. A analysis and calculation method for the saturable reactor dynamic inductance and the magnetic core resistor was presented. The linear relationship between the magnetic polarisation and the magnetic core resistor was established. The reactor voltage and ampere characteristic at the high frequency voltage excitation is consistent with the measurement result, which confirmed the accuracy of the model. Damping system suppression oscillation current performance was analyzed; the damping system configuration was presented when the first thyristor current trough reached the local extreme. The impact of saturated reactor core resistors on the voltage distribution among different models of the same tower was studied. A damping system loss calculation method was proposed, and the losses performance of the converter valve in different operating conditions was evaluated.关键词
