摘要

Abstract

Comprised of two converter stations, 908 km HVDC OHTL and supporting communication facilities, ±500kV Hulunbeier-Liaoning HVDC transmission project is the first coal-electricity base HVDC transmission project. It is also the first project whose entire research, design, manufacture, construction and commission are performed independently in China. The components used in project are 100 percent made in China. The design principles of ±500 kV Mujia converter station, the receiving terminal of Hulunbeier-Liaoning HVDC transmission project, are introduced. The design characteristics in Mujia converter station are summarized, and some innovating points are analyzed in detail. The summary provides helpful suggestions and reference for future HVDC and UHVDC projects.
