Temperament and Parenting Styles on Adolescent Aggression in Adolescence: A Test of Interaction Effects
摘要
Abstract
Objective: To investigate the interaction effects among temperamental factors, as well as the interaction effects between temperamental factors and parenting styles on adolescent aggression. Methods: Participants were 1266 adolescents. They completed Temperament Questionnaire, Parenting Styles and Dimensions Questionnaire, and Aggressive Beliefs and Behaviors Scale. Results: ①The effect of sensation seeking on direct aggression was buffered by effortful control. ②The effect of sensation seeking on direct aggression was buffered by authoritative parenting; the effect of effortful control on direct aggression was enhanced by authoritative parenting; the effect of sensation seeking on indirect aggression was buffered by authoritative parenting. Conclusion: The interaction effects among temperamental factors and between temperamental factors and parenting styles on direct aggression were significant; the interaction effect between temperamental factors and parenting styles on indirect aggression was significant.关键词
