Abstract
Objective:To evaluate the clinical efficacy and safety of metallic clips in combination with endoscopy assisted high-frequency electric snare for gastrointestinal polyps. Methods: A total of 179 patients with 216 gastrointestinal polyps were enrolled. All patients were treated with metallic clips in combination with endoscopy assisted high-frequency electric snare. Complications such as bleeding and perforation were observed in the procedures. All patients were followed up endoscopically for e-valuation of efficacy and safety. Results: The gastrointestinal polyps diameter ranged from 0. 8 cm to 3. 0 cm, and the average diameter was 2. 1 cm. The overall success rate was 100%. No patients had the complication of hemorrhage during the procedures. Perforation occurred in 1 patient (0. 5%). Bleeding occurred in 5 patients (2. 7%) two weeks after polypectomy. Pathological results showed that adenoma was the most frequent type and there were coexistent malignancy in 2 cases. Six patients with residual pedicles underwent a secondary surgery. Conclusion: Using metallic clips in combination with endoscopy assisted high-frequency electric snare is effective and safe for the treatment of gastrointestinal polyps.关键词
