Abstract

According to dynamic time-history analysis theory, 3D finite element numerical simulation was carried through on the blasting construction engineering of new over-crossing tunnel and its influence on existing tunnel was researched by using the Geotechnical and Tunnel analysis System (GTS). Results show that the section of the intersection of existing tunnel and new over-crossing tunnel is most affected by vertical vibration. With the increase of the horizontal distance away from shot point, the vibration velocity in the vertical direction decreases gradually while the vibration velocity in the horizontal direction increases first and then decreases. The influence of the blasting construction is greater on the existing tunnel within 25 m horizontal distance away from intersection, and the influence is very little when the distance exceeds 45 m. The blasting footage must be controlled within 1. 5 m and some corresponding engineering measures are needed to ensure the safety of existing tunnel. During the blasting construction of new tunnel, the monitoring measurement is needed on the vertical vibration velocity of the vault between K201+065 and K201 + 165 sections of the existing tunnel.
