云南省玉溪市多民族地区小瞳检影法在学龄前儿童弱视中的筛查
The Application of the Small-Pupil-Retinoscope in Census of Amblyopia among Pre-School Children in Multinomial Region of Yuxi City in Yunnan Province

Abstract
Objectives To evaluate it's objectiving,practicabilitg and accuracg which the small puipl retinoscope was wsed in a amblyopia census in pre-school children. Methods There was a census carried out among children aged 2 to 6 in three kindergartens in Yuxi City,using the small-pupil-retinoscope,and examining children with symptoms of direct or indirect shade movements >+l. 50DS,or symptom of unsymmetrical shade movements between the two meridians,who can be considered as ambiguous ametropia patients. When given 1% atropine to palsy ciliary muscles, once every five minutes, totally two times, there will be a retina retionoscopy optometry 60 minutes later. The patients can be considered as ametrapia if the symptoms maintain. Results The census shows: among the 936 children,totally 1872 pupils,there are 28 amblyopia pupils,rating to 1. 50% of the children; there are 13 strabismus patients,rating 1. 39% of the children.45 children came for the re-examination rating to 62. 5% out of 72 who were asked for the re-examination. Conclusions The small-pupil-retinoscope is applicable among pre-schoolamblyopia children. It is especially effective among young children incapable to read and is easy to carry out in remote and underdeveloped areas of minority people. After the re-examination, those clBldren can be decided as the amblyopia patients if the symptom maintains. Due to the nature of being objective, quick, simple and economical, the method is applicable by doctors at the basic level after adequate training. And the method is worthy of popularizing.关键词
