60Co伽马射线辐照对苏子生长及生理特性的影响
Effects of seed 60Co gamma ray irradiation on seedling growth and physiological status of Perilla frutescens

Abstract
In order to enhance the germplasm of Perilla frutescens and provide the radiation mutation technical reference for this species, two kinds of variety seed, Xingrenhuasu and Shanjiasuzi, were irradiated with Co gamma ray at the doses of 0, 200, 400, 600 and 800 Gy, and some of the physiological parameters, such as seed germination , field seedling emergence, seedling height, and plant vitality index as well as malondialdehyde ( MDA) content, peroxidase (POD) , and superoxide dismutase (SOD) activities were investigated. The results showed that irradiation of the seeds significantly influenced field seedling rate , seedling height, vitality index and related an-tioxidant indexes, but not seed germination. Below the dose of 800Gy, with the gradually increased irradiation doses, the seedling emergence was decreased slowly then sharply, seedlings became dwarf, and the vitality index was reduced, however, the content of MDA, activities of POD and SOD were all increased. Xingrenhuasu was more sensitive to Co gamma ray irradiation than Shanjiasuzi, the dose that reflected on the sharp reduction of seedling emergence was lower for which than that for Shanjiasuzi, the effects on the seedling growth and three physiological indices of which were more evident than that of Shanjiasuzi, moreover its half lethal dose ( LD50 ) and critical dose ( LD40) were much lower than that of Shanjiasuzi. At the irradiation rate of 10Gy/min, the half lethal dose ( LD50) and the critical dose (LD40) were 512. 37Gy and 570. 80Gy for Xingrenhuasu, and 679.74Gy and 716. 79Gy for Shanjiasuzi, respectively.关键词
