Probabilistic wind vulnerability analysis of light-weight steel buildings
摘要
Abstract
A method of probabilistic wind vulnerability analysis for typical light-weight steel buildings in China was presented. The probabilistic load models took into account roof panel weight, wind pressures on components and cladding, and impact damage caused by wind-bome debris. The probabilistic resistance capacity models for roof panels, wall panels, external doors, and external windows were given. The failure criteria for various components were suggested, and the wind-induced damage slate matrix for light-weight steel buildings was presented. The fragility curves of components and the whole building were obtained with Monte Carlo simulation. The simulation results of a typical light-weight steel building show that roof panels and fenestrations have greater damage probabilities of exceedance than wall panels. To mitigate the wind-induced damages, selecting a roof panel type superior in wind resistance should have priority, improving the resistance capacity of fenestrations is of secondary importance, and strengthening wall panels takes a third order of importance.关键词
