Influence of Frequency on Characteristics of Magnetic Flux Coupling in Electromagnetic Stirring

Abstract
The influence of frequency on magnetic flux coupling field were studied by the method of numerical simulation. Two-dimensional two-pair-pole finite element model including coil, yoke and metal melt were established. The relationships between frequency and magnetic flux density, electromagnetic body force and flow field were analyzed. The results indicate that the magnetic flux density in the edge is significantly larger than the value in the center and the magnetic flux density decreases with the increase of frequency, electromagnetic force first increases and then decreases with the increase of frequency. When the frequency is lHz, the consistency of the magnetic field direction is best, and the maximum flow rate of metal melt can be obtained. This phenomenon can be explained by the distribution of electromagnetic body force.关键词
