摘要
Abstract
The novels Peter Pan and Peter Pan in Kensington Gardens by the Scottish writer James Barric were created in the early 20th century. The protagonist Peter Pan has since then become a classic character in the woad literary corridor. He is much more than a boy that cannot grow up, more importantly; he is a boy that refuses to grow up, rendering him distinct from all the other children. Refusing to grow up is more than a life posture, rather; it is a life choice. The mythological and archetypal ap- proaches are employed to find the archetypes behind Peter Pan in the Hellenic mythos and Christian culture, so as to reveal his reasons for making such a different life option.关键词
