Abstract

A boosting double-effect ammonia-water absorption refrigeration cycle is proposed that can lower the heat source temperature of double-effect ammonia-water absorption refrigeration cycle. Theoretical analysis of this cycle is made to demonstrate that an optimal diversion ratio exists between high temperature stage and low temperature stage. Influences of changes in pressurization rati-o, refrigeration temperature, heat source temperature and cooling water temperature on the determination of diversion ratio are calculated and analyzed. The results show that the optimal diversion rati-o in the cycle decreases with the increase of pressurization ratio and refrigeration temperature, and increases with the increase of cooling water temperature, while heat source temperature has a critical temperature value. When the heat source temperature is lower than the critical value, the optimal diversion ratio increases with the increase of heat source temperature, otherwise, the optimal diversion ratio is almost unchanged. The results provide a reference for the design and operation of the boosting double-effect ammonia-water absorption refrigeration cycle.
