摘要

Abstract

Modular multilevel converter (MMC) which is mainly used in high voltage field is a new topolog-ical structure. The topological structure of MMC and its principle was introduced. Taking five levels converter as an example, the space vector PWM(SVPWM) was used based on reference voltage decomposition for modulation. By choosing redundancy vector, the switching frequency drops by a third. Through dynamic selection of the bridge arm's subsystem, the balance control of DC capacitor voltage is achieved. Aiming at the problem that FPGA is difficult to realize trigonometric calculation, a new method of sector selection was put forward. Finally, simulation and experiments were respectively conducted in Matlab/Simulink and Xilinx FPGA XC3S400 model, and both theoretical analysis and experimental results show the superiority of this control strategy.
