Abstract
The establishment of the Global Stratotype Section and Point (Golden Spike) of the Permian-Triassic boundary (PTB) at the Meishan section D, Changxing, Zhejiang Province, China has greatly improved the researches on the PTB, Permian and Triassic, After a brief introduction to the concept, terminology and relational prescription, primary category of stratigraphic subdivision and terminology of strati-graphic unit, as a research example, this paper summarized the research work of conodont biostrartigraphy and chronostratigraphy of the Meishan type section. The current detailed conodont biostratigraphy of the PTB at this section provided important time scale for studying the biotic survive and recovery process after the end-Permian mass extinction, and the relevant geological events.关键词
