Abstract

Implanting sensing fiber by drilling is a kind of directly laying technique for distributed optical fiber sensing. The deformation compatibility of the sensing fiber with the surrounding in-situ soil can be guaranteed by grouting the borehole. In this paper, the borehole grouting coupling materials, reasonable proportioning of the grouting materials and the strength of the setting materials are studied by experiments according to the requirements for the setting time. Experimental results show that the strength of the consolidation samples are primarily affected by the ratio of cement to bentonite and water-solid ratio. Reasonable proportion of sodium silicate can accelerate the speed of the solidification. Based on the experimental data of the in-situ undisturbed soil, the best mixture ratio of the coupling material is obtained, which can meet the requirements of mobility for field operation and the mechanical features of the consolidation samples are almost consistent with those of in-situ soil.
