Abstract
Objective:To evaluate the clinical value of special equipment for laparoscopic inguinal hernia repair in children. Methods: A retrospective review was performed on collected data of laparoscopic inguinal hernia inner ring repair with special equipment (including homemade instruments) in 36 children from Jan. 2011 to Jan. 2012. Results: All patients were treated successfully. U-nilateral operation time was 7-16 min. Contralateral recessive hernias were found in 7 cases(19.4% ) and repaired during operation. All patients were discharged 2 days after surgery. No recurrence was found during 3 to 15 months follow-up. Conclusions: laparoscopic inguinal hernia repair by special equipment is easy,safe and effective,with smaller incision,less trauma,less pain,quicker recovery,shorter operative time and hospital stay,and can find contralateral recessive hernias to repair,having great clinical value.关键词
