Abstract
Objective To investigate the effect of enteral nutrition (EN) on intra-abdominal pressure (IAP) in severe acute pancreatitis (SAP) patients and the relationship between the decreasion of IAP and the therapeutic effect of EN. Methods A retrospective analysis was conducted in 80 patients admitted to our hospital from Aug. 2009 to Apr. 2011. Patients were randomly divided into study group and control group (40 patients in each group). Patients in the study group received early entral nutrition for 7 d. Patients in the control group received total parenteral nutrition (TPN) for 7 d. Intra-cystic pressure (ICP) of the two groups were measured during treatment. The effectiveness and outcome of treatment were observed, APACHE Ⅱ scores, NB data were collected for analysis. Results The ICP, APACHE II scores in the study group was lower than that in the control group (P<0.05). NB data in study group increased significantly than that in the control group (P<0.05). Abdominalgia relief time, operation rate were quite different between the two groups (P<0.05). The abdominal compartment syndrome (ACS) rate for the two groups had no significant difference. ICP and APACHE II scores, abdominalgia relief time, operation rate showed positive correlation (P<0.05). ICP and NB data showed negative correlation (P<0.05). Conclusion EN can decrease the IAP of SAP, which may be the result of EN, showing preventive and therapeutic effects on SAP.关键词
