Abstract
Objective To analyze the efficacy of benazepri and telmisartan in the treatment of hypertension.Methods 120 elderly patients with stages Ⅱ to Ⅲ primary t hypertension who had visited our hospital during the period of October 2010 to February 2012 were randomly assigned to receive benazepril tablets or telmisartan tablets for four weeks.Brachial blood pressure was measured every morning and evening and the results of measurement were noted.Mean values were counted to use for patient blood pressure before and after treatment.A questionnaire survey on quality of life in patients was conducted.Results Four weeks after treatment,both benazepril and telmisartan effectively lowered blood pressure,with no significant difference in the efficacy (P ＞ 0.05).Conclusions Either benazepril or telmisartan tablets can effectively lower blood pressure; however,telmisartan has fewer adverse reactions and better protect the target organs,which is suitable for elderly patients.关键词
