Performance of Composite Metal Damper for High-Rise Shear Wall Structures
摘要
Abstract
Application of composite metal damper in seismic control of a real high-rise shear wall building structure is presented. A three-dimensional refined finite element model for the high-rise shear wall building is established using commercial software Perform-3D. A new energy dissipation device, namely composite metal damper, is employed in the high-rise shear wall building. Nonlinear time history analysis of the high-rise building with composite metal dampers is conducted to investigate the performance of the novel metal damper. Numerical simulation results show that the composite metal damper can greatly increase the additional damping level of the building structure, and the base shear of the high-rise shear building can be reduced over 20%. The composite metal damper is important in practical engineering.关键词
