Abstract

Daqing oil fields had entered the high water cut stage, and with extensive use of the polymer flooding, the properties of reservoir changed largely after polymer-driving in oil field. The previous interpretation could not fully apply to this situation. The complex resistivity (CR) technique was a new technology and the complex resistivity dispersion properties experiment after polymer flooding was the petrophysical basis of complex resistivity log applying to evaluating properties of reservoir. This article introduced the principle, facility, method and results of experiment. The resuhs showed the imaginary part of complex resistivity was sensitive to water saturation, and a linear relationship existed between the ratio of the imaginary part and the water saturation. Comparison of calculated water saturation with measured water saturation showed that the ratio of the imaginary part of complex resistivity could be used in quantitative interpretation for watered-out reservoirs. In addition, the reasons of the error were analyzed.
