摘要

Abstract

MADS-box is a large gene family which encodes transcription factors and plays important roles in the regulation of plant growth and development. Bioinformatics analysis of MADS-hox gene family in cucumber, including the number of the CsMADS genes, chromosomal localization, the distribution of conserved motifs and phylogenetic relationship were carried out. 41 CsMADS genes in cucumber were identified, 7 of which were in the scaffold while other 34 on 7 chromosomes. All the 41 CsMADSs had a conserved MADS domain. Based on the phylogenetic analysis of MADS-box protein sequences, 41 CsMADSs were categorized into 9 subfamilies, and most of which belonged to the SEP or MEF2-1ike branch. The results provide useful information for further functional analysis of MADS-box gene family in cucumber.
