Abstract
In order to improve the performance of catalytic distillation column, a new type of inverted cone cap structure was proposed and the cap structure parameters were studied. With different inverted cone internal parameters, the tray pressure drop and the flooding gas velocity were determined and the hydrodynamics performance was further investigated by using air-water system. The results show that the cone angle has little impact on the pressure drop and the flooding gas velocity. The opening ratio has no impact on the pressure drop when it is more than 1; the pressure drop decreases while the flooding gas velocity increases slightly with the rise of the opening ratio when it is less than 1. The pressure drop increases, while the flooding gas velocity decreases as the hole diameter increases. The pressure drop increases with the rise of the inverted cone height,while the flooding gas velocity is not linearly dependent on the inverted cone height. The pressure drop increases as the weir height increases. The pressure drop increases, while the flooding gas velocity decreases as the catalyst filling amount increases. The inverted cone internals of catalytic distillation column have great impact on the hydrodynamics performance. Under the certain condition, the wider angle, the smaller hole diameter and the smaller cap height are available.关键词
