Abstract
Objective To assess the effect and safety of recombinant human interleukin 2 (rhIL-2) in the retreatment of pulmonary tuberculosis. Methods We searched medical literatures in several databases. Randomized controlled trials comparing the rhuIL? 2 treatment group and the control group were included. The quality of studies was evaluated as well. Data were analyzed with RevMan 5. 1 software. Results Nine studies were included in the analysis. The Meta results showed that adjunctive rhILTM 2 significantly improved the sputum negative conversion rate (P<0. 01) and the rate of cavity closure (P < 0. 01). There were no differences between two groups in the X-ray resolution rate (P>0.05). No serious adverse events were reported. Conclusion Adjunctive rhIL-2 plus chemotherapy is helpful for sputum negative conversion and cavity closure in patients with retreatment pulmonary tuberculosis by improving cell-mediated immunity. More high quality studies are needed for further investigation.关键词
