Abstract
Objective To observe the clinical effect of modified radical mastectomy with preservation of intercostobrachial nerves. Methods 120 patients underwent modified radical mastectomy were analyzed retrospectively and were randomly divided into 2 groups, 60 cases in each group. The intercostobrachial nerves were preserved in research group, while resected in control group. The clinical efficacy and adverse reaction in 1 month, 3 months, 6 months after operation were observed between 2 groups. Results Compared with the control group, the operation time, bleeding volume, number of lymph node dissection in research group had no statistical differences. Postoperative mild abnormalities in upper limb and axillary skin occurred in the research group, and the abnormal sensory area, the complication rate of research group were significantly lower than control group. Conclusion Modified radical mastectomy with preservation of the intercostobrachial nerves can avoid the occurrence of abnormal sensory and impairment in skins of upper and axillary. It also can significantly improve the postoperative quality of life and has less adverse reactions, so it is worthy of clinical application and popularization.关键词
