Expression and Significance of Early Diagnosis of Serum Golgi Protein 73 in Patients with Primary Hepatic Carcinoma

Abstract
Objective To explore the expression and clinical significance of serum golgi protein 73 (GP73) in patients with primary hepatic carcinoma (PHC). Methods 47 patients with PHC (group PHC) and 40 patients with liver cirrhosis (group liver cirrhosis) were recruited in this study. Serum GP73 of the two groups were detected using enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA) and Alpha-Fetal protein (AFP) of the two groups were detected using the electrochemiluminescence method. The results were compared. Results The serum levels of GP73 (220.44±89.71) μg/L or AFP (404.06±135.43) μg/L was significantly increased in hepatic carcinoma group compared with GFP73 (112.67± 34.89) μg/L and AFP (71.17±16.24) μg/L in liver cirrhotic group, and the differences of the two groups were statistically significant (t= 93.485, t =250.924; average P <0.001). The positive rates of serum GP73 was 85.11% (40/47) and AFP was 61.70% (29/47) in hepatic carcinoma group, while in liver cirrhosis group GP73 with 15.00% (6/40) and AFP with 22.50% (9/40), and the differences of the two groups were statistically significant (χ2 =73.654, χ2 =31.284; average P<0.001). Abnormal serum GP73 levels in Hepatic carcinoma group was related to combined liver cirrhosis and lymph node metastasis (t =2.061, t =2.133; average P<0.05), but not relationship with tumor size and clinical stage was found (t =0.560, t =0.573; average P >0.05 ). Conclusion GP73 is highly expressed in the serum of PHC patients, which may be associated with the occurrence and development of liver cancer. Early detection of Serum GP73 should be helpful for early diagnosis of PHC.关键词
