Establishment of mathematical model of biomass steam gasification process

Abstract
Modeling of biomass steam gasification has been investigated taking into account both mass balance and chemical equilibrium. Using this model simulated the steam gasification operated with bagasse, and outcome was match between prediction and measurements for the producer gas, especially beyond the temperature of 950 ℃. And took the bagasse and cassava dreg as example to study the feature of this model. The best steam to biomass ratio (S/B) value of bagasse and cassava dreg gasification process were 0.3 and 0.2, respectively. The changing of components of producer gases and gasification effect versus the S/B ratio and the temperature were researched, and the results showed that rising the temperature is helpful for the gasifying reaction, and when the S/B value increased, the system would produce more gases, however the lower heat value (LHV) decreased.关键词
