摘要

Abstract

Gas-assisted injection molding(GAIM) is a special injection molding process with less perfect design system on products and mold. Taking a plastic knife and fork as a example, this paper introduced the running gate system design in GAIM mold based on the simulation on filling flow of plastic melt and preservation of gas, the design is evaluated the design by the fill regions of melt and gas cores. Feasible process parameters were also recommended based on the simulation-design.
