摘要

Abstract

In this paper, based on the statistical data of indexes from five respects including industrial wastewater discharges, industrial SO2 emissions, industrial dust emissions, control rates of industrial wastewater discharge and multi-use rate of industrial solid wastes, the status of environmental protection in 13 cities of Jiangsu Province were assessed applying factor analysis and cluster analysis. The 13 cities were classified into five categories as follows: the first category was Suzhou; the second category was Nanjing; the third category included Wuxi, Nantong and Changzhou; the fourth category included Xuzhou, Yangzhou, Taizhou, Huaian and Suqian and the fifth category included Yancheng, Zhenjiang and Lianyungang. Then the characteristics of pollution intensity and pollution control of every category were analyzed. Finally, corresponding suggestions of environmental protection for every category were proposed respectively.
