摘要

Abstract

Objective:To determine the effect of electro-acupuncture on the learning and memory ability of vascular dementia rats and explore its molecular mechanism. Methods:The models were established by Bilateral common carotid artery ligation and treated by electro-acupuncture. Morris water maze was used to assessed the learning and memory ability of rats. The expressions of synapsin I in hippocampus were measured by western blot. Results: Electro-acupuncture treatment improved the learning and memory ability of vascular dementia rats and increased the expressions of synapsin I in hippocampus (P<0.05). Conclusion: Electro-acupuncture promote the recognition ability of vascular dementia rats by improving the expression of synapsin I .
