摘要

Abstract

A method for integral safety evaluation on steel penstock under the consideration of strain-hardening effect is put forward herein. The integral safety coefficient is introduced into this method as the evaluation indexes for the bearing capacity limit state equation , and then the elasto-plastic analysis is taken to solve both the ultimate structural bearing capacity and the integral safety factor after the consideration of the strain-hardening. Furthermore, the limit value of the structural integral safety factor is determined in accordance with the related design codes and specifications for penstock at home and abroad and a structural integral safety evaluation method , which can be applied in a complete set, is finally formed as well. The study shows that this method can provide a new way for the safety evaluation on bearing capacity of penstock.
