Geophysical prediction technologies for volcanic reservoirs and exploration case in Junggar Basin

Abstract
Forward modeling, seismic attributes analysis, wave impedance inversion and coherence analysis are the most popular and useful techniques on identification and prediction of the volcanic rock reservoirs. Four patterns of volcanic rock seismic facies were built through the research on seismic reflection characters of volcanic rock reservoirs in three study areas of Junggar Basin. Combining with the exploration practices in Junggar Basin, a set of comprehensive exploration methods were summarized. It is pointed that volcanic rock reservoir interpretation should include facies prediction, lithology prediction and fracture forecast.关键词
