摘要

Abstract

One compound responsible for the antimicrobial activity against Rhizoctonia solani was isolated from Inula cap-pa by means of silicagel column chromatography and bioactivity tracing, and its EC50 was 47 mg/L tested by the mycelial radial growth inhibition method. The compound was identified as thymol based on its1H and13C NMR data,and was stable to heat,acid-base,ultraviolet and fluorescence. The growth of 15 plant pathogenic fungi and 4 bacteria could be inhibited by thymol, among which, R. solani, Phoma putaminum, Phytophthora nicotianae, Curvularia lunata, Pectobacteri-um carotovora pv. Carotovora and Xanthomonas axonopodis pv. manihotis were strongly inhibited.
