Study on the Experimental Simulation on the Damage of Underground Pipeline Caused by the Settlement of Soil

摘要

Abstract

The settlement of soil is one of the main reasons of underground pipeline's damage. To this phenomenon, there are many theoretical researches, but the relevant studies on experimental simulation are less. The research on the similar principles in fluid field is more in-depth and mature than in the other fields, which can be embodied in the fact that there is no such widely recognized criteria in other fields as Reynolds number and Froude number in fluid field. Through the study on the damage of underground pipeline caused by the settlement of soil, the analogy criterion was derived by using dimensional analysis. The specific meaning of analogy criterion was pointed out, and the data coming from the simulation experiment which is established by analogy criterion was analyzed. The conversion relation between the simulation experiment value and the actual pipe deformation value was suggested by using dimensional analysis.
