摘要

Abstract

The rapid development in the industries of the automotives, aerospaces, electronics and solar energy requires high performances the flat glasses. Surface coating is one of the most promising methods to improve the properties of the flat glasses, and considerable attention has been paid to the glass film design and preparation. The breakthrough of relevant natural disciplines such as quantum mechanics, solid state physics and computational technology accelerates the development and application of materials design, offering a new design method for the macro performance based on the analyses at the atomic and molecular level. In this paper, the process of materials design is illustrated by the typical functional glass film materials emphasizing relationship between the macroscopic properties and microstructure. The design and preparation of the new functional glass film materials are reviewed, and the development trend of the new functional glass film materials is prospected.
