摘要

Abstract

The mechanical properties, the microstructure and the compression fractographs of the AZ91D alloy was studied under high pressure using a cubic anvil apparatus. The results show that the mechanical properties of the alloy treated under a high pressure of 5 GPa is remarkably improved. The compressive strength and plasticity of the alloy subjected to treatment reach up to 287 MPa and 21%, indicative of increases of 22.6% and 43.8%, respectively. Although the strengthening phase of Mg17All2 dissolves in matrix gradually at high temperature, the compressive strength of the alloy treated under high pressure at temperatures from 200 to 800 ℃ still keeps at a high level.
