Abstract
Twenty Hexi cashmere goats at the age of six months with 15.21kg±0.61 kg mean weight were randomly selected to take the blood and hair samples monthly for twelve months after May. The results were as follows: ①Seasonalpatterns ot cashmere growth were distinct in Hexi cashmeregoat. Initiation of cashmere growth in all kids was in June or July. The period of cashmere growth was from August to December, and the peak period was in August, its growth length in August constituted 31.50% of all annual growth length.The cashmere growth length declined gradually from August to December.Cashmere stopped growing almost in January.?There was a distinct seasonal pattern of GH concentration in Hexi cashmere goat. Increasing length of cashmere growth from August to December was positivly correlated (r=0.81 ,P<0.01 )with GH concentration.No significant effects of sex on GH concentration were observed.GH appeared to have regulatory influence on the cashmere growth cycle.关键词
