Abstract
AIM To compare the different expression of ER, PR, CA125, Ki67 and P53, and to analyze the correlation between the efficacy of chemotherapy and the expression levels of selected immunohistochemical indicators. We attempted to discover molecular markers to predict response to paclitaxel/platinum in epithelial ovarian cancer (EOC). METHODS A total of 230 patients with EOC, underwent optimal cytoreductive operation and received regular postoperative chemotherapy in the hospital, were recruited in this study. The patients' clinical characteristics were reviewed respectively and compared. Statistic analysis was performed to study the relationship between these proteinic markers and the chemotherapy efficacy. RESULTS Pearson rank correlation analysis revealed among 5 molecular markers, ER, PR, CA125 and P53 protein expression had significant negative associated with chemotherapy sensitivity (P = 0.018, 0.035, 0.007 and 0.001). Stepwise regression analysis showed: Y = 0.757 - 0.058X'1 - 0.064 X'2( P < 0.01). CONCLUSION The expression of ER, PR, CA125 and P53 is related to the chemotherapy sensitivity of the patients with EOC. There is significant linear relationship in the expression of CA125,P53 and chemotherapy sensitivity.关键词
