摘要
Abstract
This paper investigated the use of non-English-major freshmen and sophomores with an learning strategies with web-based materials among agricultural university. A survey followed up by interviews was conducted to find out the types of strategies they used and compare the differences and similarities between freshmen and sophomores. The results showed that: 1) Two groups of students demonstrated conscious applications of a range of cognitive strategies. However, the study also found that less than half of the students used metacognitive or social strategies. 2) College sophomores were stronger than freshmen in using metacognitive strategies, but the two groups showed no significant difference in using cognitive and social strategies. Based on these findings, the author proposed that coordinated efforts on the parts of students, teachers and university administrators should be made to enhance non-English majors' awareness and application of learning strategies in web-based autonomous learning with agricultural universities.关键词
