Abstract

A reconceptualization and resetting of College English at the undergraduate level has been launched at College of Engineering, Nanjing Agricultural University. Some expanded curricula will be gradually implemented and new EAP courses will be introduced into the follow-up curriculum of sophomore English for the purpose of the integration and optimization of College English curricula. The paper discussed the course development and design methods of the EAP curricula based on needs analysis and found out that EAP courses can be offered to meet the students' learning needs in different disciplines. In view of some teaching material development and the cooperation between some countermeasures. problems such as the EAP teacher training, the English and engineering teachers, the paper offered some countermeasures.
