Abstract
Objective To understand the clinical manifestations of AIDS in ear, nose, throat, head and neck. Methods The clinical data of 40 patients with positive human immunodeficiency virus ( HIV ) in Niamey State Hospital of Niger were analyzed retrospectively. Results Among 40 patients aged 19 to 55 years old, 8 had acute or chronic suppurative otitis media, 3 nasal vestibule or wing ulcer, 2 sinusitis, 4 allergia rhinitis, 2 nasopharynx kaposi sarcoma, 5 oropharyngeal monilia infection, 10 chronic tonsillitis, 2 swollen bilateral parotid lymph node, 3 neck multiple adenophyma, 1 thyroid adenoma. After treatment, 28 had improvement, 8 ineffectiveness, 4 gave up treatment. Conclusion The manifestations of AIDS in ear, nose, throat, head and neck are various due to the different clinical symptoms of AIDS stages Ⅰ, Ⅱ ,Ⅲ and its treatment effects are different.关键词
