Abstract
OBJECTIVE: To provide reference for rational use of pediatrics drugs. METHODS: By retrieving related literatures about subdivision of pediatric drugs, based on the experience of clinical drug use, examples of different strategies for subdivision were analyzed in terms of dosage form, species, types, packages, specification and replaceable drugs, etc. RESULTS: The strategies for dose splitting were as follows, such as liquid preparation replaced solid preparation; types of tablet were nick type, capsule type, large diameters type as far as possible; it is suitable to select package being easy to subdivide, small specification of package and replaceable drugs which were easy to subdivide. CONCLUSIONS: The strategy for dose dividing is various, so dosage forms, manufacturing technology, package and specification should be all taken into consideration. Sometimes, it is necessary to purchase replaceable drugs or prepare extemporaneous preparations in order to retrieve the deficiency of licensed pediatric medicines.关键词
