Abstract
OBJECTIVE: To introduce the application of Excel VBA in auto-updating of drug's defined daily dose (DDD). METHODS: Using QueryTables object in Excel VBA, the WEB searching string variable of Add method was set up dynamically to realize the auto-searching and auto-updating of the drug's DDD values, and was compared with manual operation. RESULTS & CONCLUSION: Excel VBA can achieve auto-searching and auto-updating of drug's DDD. Compared with manual searching, copying, and pasting, Excel VBA will greatly decrease workload and increase accuracy. By further improving and enhancing the code, it is possible to convert Excel into DBF format, which can further be used in the auto-calculating of DDDs and other calculations, improving the efficiency and accuracy in the drug utility analysis.关键词
