Content Determination of Hyperoside in Different Parts of Hypericum perforatum from Different Habitats by RP-HPLC

Abstract
OBJECTIVE: To develop the method for the content determination of hyperoside in Hypericum perforatum, and to determine the content of hyperoside in different parts of H. perforatum from different habitats. METHODS: RP-HPLC method was adopted. The determination was performed on Boston Breeze-C18(250 mm×4.6 mm, 5 μm) column with mobile phase consisted of methanol-0.1% phosophoric acid(40:60, VIV) at the flow rate of 1.0 mL-min-1. The detection wavelength was set at 360 nm. RESULTS: The linear rang of hypericin was 0.14~2.80μg-mL-1(r= 0.999 4) with an average recovery of 95.97% (RSD= 1.16% , n=6). The contents of hypericin in the flowers and leaves of H, perforatum from Sichuan province were the highest. CONCLUSION: The method is simple, accurate and reproducible for the quality control of H. perforatum.关键词
