Abstract
OBJECTIVE: To explore efficacy and safety of betahistine in the treatment dizziness caused by Meniere's disease and the experience of nursing care. METHODS: Patients included in the study were randomized into trial group (38 cases) and control group (38 cases). Trial group was given a piece of Betahistine tablet each time, 3 times a day on the basis of convetional treatment; control group received conventional treatment alone. Systematic nursing were given in 2 groups. The clinical efficacy and adverse drug reaction were compared between 2 groups after 1 week treatment. RESULTS & CONCLUSION: The total effective rate of trial group (92.11%) was significantly higher than that of control group (73.68%), there was statistical significance (x2= 4.547, P=0.033). The incidence of adverse drug reaction in trial group (18.42%) closed to control group (15.79%), there was no statistical significance (P>0.05). Systematic nursing is necessary to Meniere's disease. Betahistine has a good effect in treatment of Meniere's disease based on systematic nursing, and it is effective and safe for dizziness caused by Meniere's disease.关键词
