Abstract
Objective To investigate the effect of Polident denture adhesive on the chewing efficiency and the satisfaction of patients wearing complete denture with poor aveolar ridges. Methods Thirty patients with poor aveolar ridges wearing complete denture were selected. The spectrophotometer was adopted to detect the chewing efficiency before and after the use of Polident denture adhesive. The satisfaction was tested by the questionnaire survey. Results After using Polident denture adhesive, the chewing efficiency was greatly improved. The total satisfaction, speaking, mastication, retention and comfort were significantly increased. Conclusion Polident denture adhesive can increase the chewing efficiency and the satisfaction of patients.关键词
