Expression and clinical significance of Bcl-2 in non-small cell lung carcinoma
摘要
Abstract
Objective To investigate the expression level of Bcl-2 in non-small cell lung carcinoma ( NSCLC ) and its clinical significance. Methods 51 paired samples of NSCLCs and adjacent normal tissues were collected from patients. The expression of Bcl-2 in the 51 paired NSCLC and the adjacent normal tissues was tested, to be more exact, mRNA expression level was tested by q-PCR and protein level by immunohistochenistry. Results The mR-NA level of Bcl-2 in NSCLC tissues was higher than in the adjacent normal tissues, as q-PCR indicated ( P = 0. 061 ),q-PCR ( P <0. 05 ) also indicated that the mRNA level of Bcl-2 in NSCLC tissues was significantly higher in high and middle grade than in low grade. Likewise, the Bcl-2 protein expression was higher in NSCLC tissues than in the adjacent normal tissues,as immunohistochemistry indicated ( P <0. 05 ). Bcl-2 protein expression was associated with pathologic stage and T stage, but not significantly associated with gender, age, and smoking history. Conclusion Our results indicate that the expression of Bcl-2 in NSCLC and the adjacent normal tissues is different. Bcl-2 may play an important role in the development of NSCLC.关键词
