温针灸治疗痰湿壅盛型原发性高血压并发肥胖36例
Therapeutic Effect of Warming Acupuncture-Moxibustion in Treatment of Phlegm-Dampness Stagnation Type Primary Hypertension with Obesity: A Report of 36 Cases

Abstract
Objective To observe the therapeutic effect of warming acupuncture-moxibustion in the treatment of primary hypertension with obesity. Methods Thirty cases of phlegm-dampness stagnation type primary hypertension -with obesity received warming acupuncture-moxibustion plus ear acupuncture for three courses of treatment (one month for each course). The changes in blood pressure and obesity indices were observed, and the therapeutic effect was assessed. Results After treatment, the blood pressure, body weight, degree of obesity, body mass index, and body fat percentage of the patients decreased significantly (P<0. 01), with an overall response rate of 91. 7%. The therapeutic effect improved significantly as the number of treatment courses increased. Conclusion Warming acupuncture-moxibustion can decrease blood pressure and reduce obesity in the treatment of phlegm-dampness stagnation type primary hypertension with obesity.关键词
