Abstract

At present, all business of provincial power dispatching network was transmitted by the same network, so both security and scalability were failed to ensured and it made the perfection of the structure of the data access network, which was relatively independent of existing dispatching data special network, the improvement of transmission efficiency and the ensure of communication capability become major problems. For this reason, according to present situation and business development trend of provincial power dispatching data network, a bandwidth estimation model for the business of backbone data network during the 12th five-year plan was built. Based on results of bandwidth estimation, the modeling and simulation of the data access network for Gansu provincial power dispatching data network were performed by OPNET software, and the adaptability of network structure in different stages to business was analyzed and compared; comprehensively considering simulation indices such as link bandwidth utilization, network load balance factor, proportion of heavy-loaded link in the network and so on, the prediction of bottlenecks in Gansu provincial power dispatching data network in different development stages were performed, and then the upgrading strategy of links and network were formed. Finally, the suggestions on capacity planning scheme of the data access network for Gansu provincial power dispatching data network were put forward.
