Abstract
Trigger circuit for the spark gap of series capacitor compensation is located in high-potential environment, so the power supply for the trigger circuit becomes a key problem to be solved during the development of the spark gap. To meet the demand on power supply for the trigger circuit of the spark gap, the principle and control strategy of power supply for electronics on series capacitor platform (PSESCP) as driven by current transformer (CT) are presented. Impacts of two abnormal operating conditions of transmission line, namely the light-load condition and fault condition, on PSESCP are researched, on this basis, a method for the design of PSESCP is proposed and related tests are performed for the verification. Test results show that the developed PSESCP can provide about two watts of power for the load circuit and meet the demand that the fluctuation of output voltage of PSESCP is less than ±5% when transmission line is in steady-state operation and the line current is within the range from 5% to 120% of rated value, in addition, the developed PSESCP can operate normally and reliably during the transient process caused by short-circuit fault occurred in transmission line.关键词
